Freelancer Terms

Welcome to Hire in Pakistan! As a Freelancer, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service, ensuring a secure, transparent, and professional work environment. By using our platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

1. Account Registration & Maintenance

• Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts.
• Accurate Information: All personal, professional, and payment details must be correct and up-to-date.
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

2. Work Engagement & Payment Structure

Freelancers on Hire in Pakistan can offer services through the following models:

A. Gigs

• You can create Gigs and set your service price.
• Clients pay upfront, and funds are held in escrow until they mark the Gig as completed.
• Platform Fee: 30% of the Gig amount is deducted before funds are added to your Wallet.

B. Tasks

• You can bid on Tasks posted by Clients and specify your required payment.
• Payment is held in escrow until the Client marks the Task as completed.
• Platform Fee: 30% of the Task amount is deducted before funds are added to your Wallet.

C. Projects

• For Projects, you sign a contract with the Client, agreeing on an hourly rate.
• Payments are milestone-based and released only after a milestone is marked as completed.
• No Platform Fee is deducted for Project payments.

Freelancers are strictly prohibited from providing their contact details to Clients or accepting payments outside Hire in Pakistan. Violating this policy will result in account suspension and a penalty of $10,000 or the total project/task amount (whichever is higher).

3. Payment & Withdrawal Process

• On Hold Balance: When a Client makes a payment, the amount reflects as "On Hold" in your Wallet.
• Payout Balance: Once the Client marks the Task, Gig, or Project milestone as completed, the amount moves to the Payout section.
• Withdrawals: Freelancers can withdraw funds by clicking the Withdraw button.
• Payment Method: Hire in Pakistan will deposit earnings in PKR to the Freelancer's provided bank account.
• Exchange Rate Deduction: PKR 5 per USD is deducted from the exchange rate as a transaction fee (e.g., if 1 USD = 300 PKR, the Freelancer receives 295 PKR per USD).

4. Communication & Professional Conduct

• All communication must remain on the platform to ensure security and dispute protection.
• Freelancers must maintain professionalism and deliver work as per the agreed terms.
• Fraudulent activities, misrepresentation, or spamming are strictly prohibited.
• Sharing personal contact details with Clients or accepting direct payments outside the platform is a violation of platform policies.

5. Ownership & Intellectual Property

• Ownership Transfer: Once the Client makes full payment, ownership of the completed work is transferred to them unless otherwise agreed.
• Pre-Existing Content: If your work includes pre-existing technology or content, you must disclose it to the Client and provide the necessary licensing.

6. Dispute Resolution & Support

• Attempt Direct Resolution: Freelancers and Clients should try to resolve disputes through direct communication.
• Dispute Ticket: If no resolution is reached, either party may submit a Dispute Ticket.
• Platform Review: Hire in Pakistan’s Dispute Team will review the case and provide a decision within 72 working hours.
• Support Tickets: If you face any technical or account-related issues, you can create a Support Ticket for assistance.

7. Account Suspension & Policy Violations

Freelancers must comply with all Hire in Pakistan policies. Violations such as:

• Providing direct contact details to Clients
• Providing direct contact details to Clients
• Engaging in fraudulent activities

may result in immediate account suspension or termination. In cases of external payments, the Freelancer will be subject to a penalty of $10,000 or the project/task amount (whichever is higher).

8. Policy Updates

Hire in Pakistan reserves the right to update these terms. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
